  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup mixed seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, sesame)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water and honey, then sprinkle yeast on top. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, mixed seeds, and salt.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
  8. Let the dough rise again for 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  10. Allow to cool before slicing.
