Seared Ahi Tuna with Wasabi Yuzu Glaze

Ingredients

  • 2 ahi tuna steaks (6 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp yuzu juice
  • 1 tsp wasabi paste
  • 1 tsp honey

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over high heat.
  2. Season tuna steaks with salt and black pepper.
  3. Sear tuna for 1-2 minutes per side for rare, or longer for preferred doneness.
  4. Remove tuna and let it rest.
  5. Mix soy sauce, yuzu juice, wasabi, and honey in a bowl.
  6. Drizzle the glaze over the tuna.
  7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  8. Slice and serve immediately.
