Deliciously rich brownies with a creamy peanut butter swirl that you can’t resist.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. In a small bowl, microwave the peanut butter until it is smooth and pourable, then drop spoonfuls of it over the brownie batter.
  8. Use a knife to swirl the peanut butter into the brownie batter.
  9. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the peanut butter layer and swirl again if desired.
  10. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top if using.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  12. Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • These brownies can be frozen for up to 3 months.
