  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp bourbon
  • 1 1/2 cups diced apples
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, and bourbon.
  3. Stir wet ingredients into dry until just combined.
  4. Fold in diced apples.
  5. Heat oil to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Drop batter by spoonfuls into hot oil, frying until golden (2-3 minutes per side).
  7. Drain on paper towels.
  8. Mix powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk for glaze.
  9. Drizzle glaze over warm fritters.
