Foie Gras Crostini with Fig Jam Reduction

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup fig jam
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast for 5-7 minutes until golden. Set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat fig jam and balsamic vinegar over medium heat. Simmer for 5 minutes until reduced. Remove from heat.
  3. Season foie gras slices with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear foie gras for 1-2 minutes per side until browned.
  4. Spread fig jam reduction on toasted crostini. Top with seared foie gras.
  5. Serve immediately.
