  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add vegetable oil, salt, and flour gradually, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
  6. Shape each piece into a roll and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Brush the tops of the rolls with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Let cool before serving.
