  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Add broken lasagna noodles and cook until tender, about 10-12 minutes.
  6. Stir in ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese until melted and combined.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
