Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • Coarse sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and shape it into a wreath on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Make dimples in the dough with your fingers and sprinkle with chopped rosemary and coarse sea salt.
  7. Let the wreath rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add garlic or other herbs to the dough.
  • This focaccia is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
