Cheesy Baked Gnocchi

A comforting and cheesy baked gnocchi dish that’s easy to make and perfect for a family meal.

  • 1 (16 oz) package potato gnocchi
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook gnocchi according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in marinara sauce, heavy cream, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  5. Add cooked gnocchi to the skillet and mix until coated.
  6. Transfer half the gnocchi mixture to a baking dish. Sprinkle with half the mozzarella and Parmesan.
  7. Add the remaining gnocchi mixture and top with the rest of the cheeses.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms or spinach.
  • Use fresh herbs if available.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
